Board Meeting

The monthly meeting of the Fairwood West Homeowners’ Association Board of Trustees was called to order at 7:00 pm on Thursday July 17th, 2014.  Trustees in attendance were Adrian Ryneveld, and Brandy Bradford.  Also in attendance was Barb Simeona, Association Bookkeeper, and three homeowners.

~ MONTHLY REMINDERS~

Any changes to the outside of your home must have
an approved architectural control form on file
prior to work being done on the home.

Renton Fire Department – No one present to report.

Homeowner Appeals – No one present to appeal.

Community Events – The Annual Garage Sale was the last weekend of June.  Everyone agreed it seemed well attended.

Pride In Ownership – Ray’s previous nomination was approved.

Minutes of the Previous Meeting – A motion was made seconded and approved to accept the June meeting minutes as presented. 

Financial Report – The monthly financial report was presented. 

Treasurer’s Report – Nothing new to report.

Architectural Control Report – One home painting request was turned into Brandy.  She approved immediately and gave to Barb for the permanent records.

Common Properties Report – Adrian reported that our grant application with King County was turned in and accepted for review.  It will be looked at and we will be notified by the end of July if it is accepted as submitted.  The committee will then choose 3 applications for further review by the council who should make a decision by the end of August.

Covenant Enforcement – All homes in violation were reviewed. 

Unfinished Business – The Board discussed the garbage can in the park as it is not being put out for pickup on a consistant basis.  Waste Management has called at least once per month saying there was no can out.  Brandy agreed to put out the can.

New Business – One homeowner in attendance asked about a neighbor who is dispatching his landscaping business out of his home and has barking dog issues as well.

Adrian noted that the Board will keep an eye on this.

Board member Larkan Hollister turned in her resignation via email.  The Board accepted her resignation.

The meeting adjourned at 8:18 p.m. after a motion was made, 2nd and approved to adjourn.

The next two monthly meetings of the Fairwood West Homeowners’ Association will be held on Thursday, August 14th, 2014 in the Church Youth Room and Thursday September 11th, 2014 in the portable building both at 7:00 p.m., at the Nativity Lutheran Church, 17707 140th SE. 

All residents are welcome to attend.
